MIC IP moving cameras combine a rugged design with built-in Intelligent Video Analytics, specifically engineered for the most challenging environments. The MIC IP fusion 9000i camera offers a unique video analytics capability: metadata fusion. By combining the metadata from the camera’s optical and thermal imagers, it provides users with full situational awareness, regardless of the video stream being monitored. For example, even if an alarm source is not visible in the optical imager stream, the thermal imager can still detect it and alert the user—helping them focus on unseen elements that require attention. The camera also delivers video analytics while in motion.
In environments with limited visibility due to low lighting, smoke, or total darkness, the MIC IP fusion 9000i camera uses both optical and thermal technology to deliver the most accurate image possible.
The MIC IP fusion 9000i stands out for its metadata fusion, integrating metadata from its built-in optical and thermal imagers to ensure full situational awareness regardless of which video stream—optical or thermal—is being monitored. Metadata fusion helps operators focus on “invisible” elements that require attention. When an event is detected but not visible in the monitored video stream, an alarm is triggered, and operators can click the alarm notification box to view the related video data.
The true potential of MIC IP cameras lies in their rugged design combined with built-in Intelligent Video Analytics.
Another innovation offered by MIC IP models is the ability to perform video analytics while moving. If a moving object or person is detected during pan, tilt, or zoom operations, the operator is alerted, or the camera’s Intelligent Tracking feature is triggered. Once Intelligent Tracking is enabled, moving objects are automatically tracked, with the field of view dynamically adjusted to ensure optimal monitoring.
All MIC IP cameras provide intelligent video streaming with Intelligent Dynamic Noise Reduction and H.265 video compression. This reduces bitrate by up to 80% depending on scene content, significantly lowering network load and storage requirements without sacrificing video quality. Like all Bosch IP cameras, MIC IP models offer various hardware and software security measures, such as a built-in Trusted Platform Module, to keep video data secure.
All MIC IP cameras are equipped to deliver the highest quality, usable video images regardless of lighting conditions, time of day, or object movement. Both MIC IP starlight 7000i and MIC IP fusion 9000i come standard with Bosch’s starlight technology, 1080p resolution, and 60 frames per second. This ensures highly detailed color images in scenes with minimal ambient light (as low as 0.0077 lux). The high frame rate captures fast-moving objects with ease, while the camera’s 120 dB High Dynamic Range maintains perfect exposure of unevenly lit moving objects.
When viewing foggy or low-contrast scenes, the camera’s Intelligent Defog feature improves visibility. When light levels drop to zero, the MIC IP starlight 7000i can be complemented with an optional illuminator for up to 450 m in complete darkness, ensuring optimal illumination of relevant objects.
No matter how extreme the conditions, video surveillance must continue. Bosch has taken extensive measures to further develop the MIC IP family of rugged PTZ cameras, designed to operate in all environments.
The one-piece metal bodies of the MIC IP starlight and MIC IP fusion 9000i can withstand severe weather, including strong winds, rain, fog, dust, and 100% humidity (NEMA 6P and IP68), temperatures from -40°C to +65°C, extreme vibrations (IEC60068), and heavy impacts (IK10). Their advanced metallurgy and coating provide unmatched corrosion protection (ISO 12944 C5M). Built-in starlight technology delivers highly detailed color images even in ultra-low light. When light levels drop to zero, the MIC IP starlight 7000i’s optional illuminator or the MIC IP fusion 9000i’s thermal capabilities ensure maximum detail and early object detection.
For extreme environments, both models feature an integrated wiper with a silicone blade for self-cleaning. The glass defogging function ensures the MIC IP fusion 9000i captures high-quality video under any temperature condition, meeting NEMA-TS2 standards.
